Physical Education

The department of physical education has infrastructure for all the indoor and outdoor games. It is headed by a Director of Physical Education. The activities are carried out throughout the year. Adequate facilities are available in the college campus for both outdoor and indoor sports for the students to practice and also to conduct the inter-department and inter-collegiate sports and tournaments.

The college has teams in all disciplines of sports and games. Uniforms are provided for all the players who represent the college. Talent hunt is done every year among the students and talented players are identified and included in the college team. In order to provide opportunity to exhibit their talents, inter-department tournaments for the students are organized.


Policies & Procedures for Sports


It is a patriotic initiative taken by our college to win the Gold Medal in Olympics 2020 for our country. The Archery team of our college participated in International Archery world Championship held in Thailand and France.


District Level Inter Collegiate KHO KHO Tournament organized by Mahalashmi Women’s College of Arts and Science Avadi on 13.09.2019. Our College Secured First Place.


Chennai International Youth Fest Foot Ball Tournament was organized by Govt.Of India, held at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulatore on 10th October 2019. Our College team secured Third Place. We received the prizes from Mr.Prahlad Singh Patel Minister of state for Tourism and Culture govt.of India and Mr.C.Vijaya Baskar, Minister for Health and Family Welfare Govt.of TamilNadu.


Madras University B Zone Hockey Tournament was held at Mayor Radha Krishnan Hockey Stadium Egmore, on 3rd October 2019. Our College secured Third Place. 3 Students were selected to represent B Zone team for participating Inter Zone Hockey Tournament will be held on 16th December 2019 at MCC Tambaram and secured 2nd place
